Pocket Sized Canon Elura Has Built-in Cap
How many times have you had that sinking feeling that you've just lost your lens cap! While it sounds trivial, this is one of my favorite features about the Canon Elura. Now I can safely tuck it away in my purse and not have to worry about scratching the lens.

The Elura is small and lightweight - the perfect companion camcorder when you don't want to bring along your big camera. It has a clear and bright 2.7 inch LCD screen that displays in true widescreen. The camcorder shoots in 16:9 widescreen mode, and the video will fill the entire LCD screen, so you can see exactly what you're shooting. You can also shoot in the traditional 4:3 mode with just the touch of a button.
There are trade-offs to the Elura, like image quality that is pretty good but can have a tendency to wash out bright colors or have trouble distinguishing color differences in low light. However, the image is vastly superior to that of a cell phone.
For me, that makes this camcorder perfect for the moments when I don't have my big camera, but the kids are doing something crazy and it'd be so great to catch it on video to send to Grandma. When the Elura is tucked in my purse, I can catch the shot and not be thinking "I really wish I'd brought my camera"!
The battery life is amazing - a fully charged battery can last about 148 minutes, which means it can stay in your purse for a week or two of nonchalant filming before having to recharge.
